Mark has been a competitive track and field athlete since the age of 12, performing in both middle distance and long distance races. He was a 4 year member of Eastern Illinois Track and field team and 2x OVC champion.
Mark takes a research/evidence based approach to training from strength training to running. He has experience helping both runners in their beginning stages, and veteran track and field athletes improve their performance using these strategies. He is also a major advocate for “pre-hab” to avoid injuries and help minimize time away from training through supplementing aerobic training with purposeful strength training.
