I am currently a Sr. Business Consultant at a top accounting firm in Chicago. In my free time I train for races on a regular basis and am involved in the Chicago running community.
Running and racing started for me in 6th grade track, qualifying for the junior high state track meet in the mile. I qualified every year individually and with teams to the state track meets through high school. I also joined cross country my junior year and led my team to a top 15 finish each year. My performances earned me a scholarship to run cross country and track at Eastern Illinois University.
In college, I went sub 5 minutes in the mile, broke a school record, and competed on multiple OVC championship winning teams.
After college, I’ve continued running to stay in shape and it’s something I still love doing with my friends/former teammates. I’ve done a few half marathons, the 2018 Chicago Marathon and many other 5k/10k races. I’ve enjoyed runs and workouts with many groups/teams around the city. The running community has always been so loving, encouraging and critical to my training. Training is not always easy and a running community is vital. This is the place to find your next running community to Rise and Run with!
